Dr. Annie Fairbanks, a holistic doctor was found shot dead with her entire family: husband Jason Fairbanks, 3-year-old daughter, and 9-month-old son.
This makes the 77th holistic doctor to have been found dead in this way over the past couple of years.
Holistic medicine is a form of healing that considers the whole person — body, mind, spirit, and emotions — in the quest for optimal health and wellness.
The family ran a health practice called Macrotherapy in Scottsdale in the U.S. state of Arizona, which focused on natural and holistic healing. It’s unclear whether or not the practice was employing new or outside the box methods like GcMAF, but further investigations should tell us.

GcMAF (Glycoprotein Macrophage Activating Factor) is a protein made by our body and is pretty much the ‘director’ of our immune system. Our immune system is our body’s defense system against viruses and other pathogens. As healthy persons we all produce thousands of cancer cells every day. When we are unhealthy, GcMAF production drops. If one is able to be injected with GcMAF, they can once again heal. GcMAF was linked to a number of holistic doctors that were showing up mysteriously dead over the past two years.
Collective Evolution reports that few hours the bodies were discovered, the police declared that it was a murder-suicide. Spokesman for the Scottsdale Police Department, Sgt. Ben Hoster, was quoted as saying that the police do not believe somebody carried out the massacre.
“This is an isolated incident. We do not believe there are any outstanding suspects”, Sgt. Hoster told reporters. The police later said Jason shot dead his wife and children first before killing himself. The investigators claim financial difficulties might have motivated Jason to commit the crime. They are, however, yet to make public the weapon Jason allegedly used to murder his family.
Local commentators and residents lashed out at the police for arriving at an early conclusion as Dr. Annie’s death brings the total number of mysterious deaths of holistic doctors to 77 over the past few years in the U.S.
Local residents who knew the family described Dr. Annie as loving and caring person. Personal Friends told Health Nut News in a live Facebook broadcast that they strongly doubt the explanation given by the police.
Wendy Wells, a naturopathic physician who had worked with Dr. Annie said: “It’s a terrible thing what happened to her. She was completely passionate about what she did. Always on the go, just her whole person, just exuded health and vibrancy. She had the biggest, most winning smile.”
Jason’s sister, Laura Fairbanks, described her late brother as a protector of his family. She said Jason was a quiet person who loved his family. “He loved his family so much, he wasn’t a bad person”, she noted.
Laura also claimed her brother was doing his best to provide for the family despite the ongoing financial setbacks. She added that Jason showed no signs of suicidal tendencies, and that it is extremely shocking the police would conclude that he committed such a heinous crime.
Was it a murder or was it a murder-suicide? We are following the incident and will report on the latest. Stay tuned.
